    Default ACT -> SugarCRM

    Hi,

    My company is looking to switch to SugarCRM from ACT for many many reasons.

    I have been looking at the Exporter Tool that is available via the ACTAdd-on website that allows a 100 user limit demo.

    Now what I am trying to figure out is the best way to export ACT and import into SugarCRM.

    We are playing with the option to export to MS Access and we are wondering if anyone out there knows of a way with MS Access how we can do a seach/replace between 2 tables.

    Pretty much we want to replace the ACT ContactID with the SugarCRM ID. Once we have done this, we should be able to play more with SugarCRM to make sure it does what we want it to do.

    We currenly have 5000+ contacts in ACT so playing with 100 isnt much but will help us see a) how long it will take to do the switch and b) make sure we do the conversion properly so we do not loose any important customer data.

    Looking for advice/suggestions and help. Especially with doing the search/replace thing with MS Access

    We're looking at SugarCRM because its web-based and should be fairly easy to have interact with our middleware applications (that I develop in house). Pretty much being able to retrieve and store customer data.

    Thanks.
