Add Birthday Fields/Anniversary Fields

We want to keep record of our clients Birthdays and Anniversaries.
Can anyone point me in the direction of how to capture this in our leads?

Go to studio in the admin section and add one or two fields of type date. Then put them into you layouts.

I suppose you created a custom field into Leads to store the birthday, right?
There is a field into Contacts module (birthdate).
You should need to edit the modules/Contacts/ContactFormBase.php to add the birthdate field into ConvertLead Form.

Is there a way to get the birthdays to reoccur each year and show on a calendar for marketing purposes?

try out the BirthdayDashlet.
I also searched for a way to fill in the birthdays in the calendar - then i found the BirthdayDashlet.
