add dashlett link not showing

i am using suger ver 4.5.1b o n windows server 2003 and the add dashlet link is no where to be found any ideas ? there are some dashlets showing but i can't add any ?

Which theme are you using?

Do you see the shortcuts list on the left hand side?

Does this happen for all users? From all computers?

currently white sands is the theme, i tried most of the other themes with no sucsess, i do have links on the side under contacts and shortcuts

Try this:

1. Login as admin
2. Access the admin control panel
3. Click System Settings
4. Make sure that "Prevent user customizable Homepage layout: " is not checked. If it is checked, uncheck it, save your settings and try again.
