Add fields to Convert Lead -only works for field created via studio

If I add a field using studio to Contacts & Leads it appears on the Convert to Lead form

If I create the fields using the extension method so they are in the main tables rather than the _cstm table they don't appear on the convert to lead form

How can I make the new fields appear on the convert to lead form without creating them in studio?

You need to modify the html in the function getWideFormBody for all modules related to Convert Lead.
