Add multiple selectable items to the Leads/Contacts module

This is all new to me so be gentle in your reply.
Anyway, I've learned a lot but still have some ways to go.

I run a small part time adventure travel company. I would like to use Sugar to track my leads for upcoming trips and to keep track of all of the trips a contact has taken. (A lead is converted to a contact once they decide to go on a trip).
I've created and deployed a new module called "Trips"
This module allows me to create Trips.
For example. I created a trip to Spain in the fall one to Saint Martin in August,,, etc.

Now what I'd like to do is to be able add multiple possible trips a lead is interested in to a Leads profile. And also as an existing customer (a contact) decides to take another trip with me be able to add that to the contacts profile so that in the future I can see that John doe has gone on a trip to Brazil in 2009, Greece in 2010, and hiking trip in October.

I know how to add a drop down menu using the dropdown editor but I'd like to create a selectable list of trips using the Trip module and have them displayed in both the Leads section and the Contact section.

If I understand you well, when you created your new "trip" module you might have made a One to One relationship from Trip To Contact (or Lead). You should have created a One to Many relationship so that you could get a trip Subtab (like Activities for a Contact) and so be able to register several trip for a single lead or contact.
