Add new row in db with the good id

Hey

I would like to insert a new row in my custom module when the opportunity is Closed Won but i must to create the id in 36 caracteres.

which crypting is used ?
How create it ?

This is described in http://www.sugarcrm.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25197 and other threads, just search for guid or uuid() (a standard mysql function!).
