Adding attendees to Meetings or Calls not working

I am unable to add attendees to meetings or calls, when creating or editing. When I go to search, the search button does not function, and causes (apparently) no search to be executed.

OS: Mac OSX 10.5
SugarCRM Version 5.5.0 (Build 6653)
Apache/2.2.11 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.11 OpenSSL/0.9.7l DAV/2 PHP/5.3.0
MySQL Server version: 5.1.42

[EDIT] This is a new installation, not a migration or move from another instance!

The following error is popping up in the error log:

I had this same problem and ended up fixing it by downloading SugarCE-5.5.1.zip, extracting it to a temporary directory, and copying the json_server.php file from it to my running, production directory. For whatever reason, I guess it didn't get upgraded with the rest of the files when I migrated from 5.2.0k to 5.5.0.
