Adding contact to quick create form

I would like to add a contact select field to the opportunities quick create form. I tried using a modified version of the contact field from the opportunities edit view, but it doesn't work. The lack of this field forces me to open the full form everytime. Any ideas on how to do this?

I can create a custom drop down that populates with the names of all of the contacts. Is there a way that I can use that and then have it populate the corresponding contact/contact id into the task?

My question is this;

I add an account and then add a contact from the create contact on the Account page

I always have to create contact in full form, because I always need to add the title, is there any way of adding the Title to the short form, so that I dont have to open the full form everytime due to add in the persons Title

I was able to do exactly what you want by using this as a reference.

You might also want to look at the "Enter Business Card" option on the Shortcuts menu on the Home or Contacts tab -- it allows you to enter a Contact and an Account on the same screen.
