Hello all. I have come across this problem many times in my use of SugarCRM, and usually find a work-around, but this time it is not possible and I must find a solution.
The scenario is: I create a custom email template, create a workflow and alert shell that should send this email template when a specific condition is met.
Unfortunately when I save the alert shell, and take a look in the workflow, it says: Send email using a custom template: <empty>. Also, the actual email that gets sent is empty.
Alright, so I try to solve it by directly entering the email template id in the workflow_alertshells table in the database, but the email that is being sent is still empty!
In another case (another SugarCRM instance), I was having a problem that email templates that I created were not showing in the custom template drop-down box in the workflow alertshell definition. I have a feeling these two problems are somehow connected.
Anyone who could shed some light on this, or even give me some kind of solution, would be greatly appreciated!
