Adding Custom Field to Edit View - Project Module

I am trying to add a custom field to Edit View. However, it does not appear when I go to Create project screen or Edit Project screen.

Please HELP!!!

Hi

Goto Admin -> Field Layout ->Select ur DetailView.html file

Left side of the screen u can find Sugar Fields , click on that link, thr u can see ur custom fields, drag and drop fields to ur html file. save it. it will be visible in ur detailview window

Yeah, I have 4.5.0b and I was able to modify the Detail View, but when I click Edit View my template shows it being exactly how I want it, except when I acutally go to a lead and edit it, it is the default layout. Appears studio inst working correctly.

try clicking on layouts edit view.

then click on add row

then drag your custom field from the left.

This took me a while to figure out. It doesn't seem to be documented.

When you click Edit View should it look exactly the same as Detail View? Mine does, I click save and publish, my custom layout, but when I go and acutal edit a lead the layout is default. The Detail view layout works though, it is my custom layout. I just think Edit VIew in studio is not working,

hmm, all I can say is that it works for me. I did have to close all the browsers and start over once as my changes didn't seem to show up. Maybe that would help you.There is some odd behaviors in the studio.

When you click on edit layout you then have edit view and detail view. They should show you different views so if that isn't working then there is something wrong.

Yeah my Edit View and Detail View in editor look the same. I think there is something wrong for sure. I am running a clean install of 4.5.0b though. Any things I could try? Anything I can provide to help me solve the issues?
