Adding rows to the edit layout

Hello: Even though I can add fields and change them using the default views using STUDIO in any of the VISTAS, I cannot add rows to add the new fields I created. I am using Version 6.1.0RC2 (Build 5335). I have two installations and the problem is the same. When I try to edit the layout the "undefined" message appear on the top of the screen.
Any suggestions?? thanks, js

Change file permission of cache, custom , data , modules to 755
