Adding Search functionality in Dashlets

Hello Friends,

I need to add Search text box and Button on sugar dashlets. Can it is possible in Sugarcrm.

Please let me know the other possible ways to add some text box and button on every dashlets.

Really need help.

Basically I need ajax based search functionlaity on dashlets.For ex. say in Contact dashlet need to implement one text box having ajax enabled functionlatiy. If someone type the letters the ajax dropdown list comes up. when he click on that link the systm will redirect to detail view of selected record.


This field are not part of module.

That is not easy to accomplish and requires good skills on sugarcrm, php and javascrip development.

yes. I have the good knowledge of PHP and JavaScript, I have near about 4 months experience in Sugar,

So please tell me how to get it..


Basically I have modified the dashlet.php file by adding new function to it for print the search form on dashlet but it not works

Anybody help me please.
