    Question Address Concatenation

    Hi all,

I have recently installed SugarCRM 4.2 and have imported my list of contacts. I have my list in the form of addr1, addr2, addr3, county, postcode and country. I noticed that when importing the address information it just concatenates the address information into one string and places it into the database. This defeats the object of having sepearate address fields, for additional options such as mailing labels etc.

Is there a way around this to make sure the system does not automatically concatenate the address details? Would really make the system that much more powerful, as currently the address information in the database is useless for mailing purposes.

Any information in thsi regard would be helpful!

    Cheers,

    Warren.

    Default Re: Address Concatenation

    Hi!

I guess you could create you own fields and use those instead of the default.

My issue with the concatenation of address is that address_2 and address_3 are combined with a space in between. I suggest that a newline character "\n" would make more sense instead?
