    Default Address Form

Ok, so I'm BRAND new to this program. I've been working with it for 2 weeks and I've been admin for 2 days now, and my boss is asking me to do something, that i CAN do, but in a cluttered fashion. I go to Studio>Accounts>Layouts and I want to put in an address form, but there is only one that I can use, and I need two. What I want is(under detail view) to have only 1 bar, that has Physical address when I put it in my layout, and when I look at it under the edit view, I see an easy layout bar, to resemble the same kind of address that you see on a letter, a section for the street address, a section for the city, a drop down box for the state, and a section for zip code. I understand a lot of how the program works for being self taught, but I'm at a loss for how to do this. So pleaseeee teach me how to do it, I don't want someone to make it for me, I want them to help me make it.
And, if possible, because I have a billing and a physical address for the businesses, I would like to have a small box to check if the addresses are the same, so it will autofill? I'm not sure if that is possible on this program or not.

Ok lets take a look at the various questions here.

Welcome to Sugar, the wonderful wild and wooly customization process. I've been working with this for Three years and am still learning stuff!

If I understand you correctly you are saying the accounts module has only one address and you need some more, right?
Assumingthis is the case its as simple as adding several fields in the to the accounts (the fields tree). Then adding them to the editview and detail view in the layouts.
Simple add enough rows to get things layed out the way you want them to appear.

As to the check box you can either add a check box field and leave the other address blank or
    2. Add the check box and use a logic hook to fill the other address before saving, not super hard but you do have to do some php programming. OR/and
    3. (best solution) See sugarforge and get the Devtoolkit by Andropes. One of the those experts running around the forums. (Andropes, if you read this thanks for all the help, so nice to have guys like you helping!)
Look at the documentation. You can use the checkbox to programically hide the other addresses or do all kinds of fun things. Use can use his tool to add custom code to set the shipping and billing address the same and display them.

Hope this gets you started, Let me know if I can help further. I can also screen share with you if that would help and walk you through.

    Good luck,
    Paris

Thank you! I had already done the address with multiple fields, and to get it to match, I got rid of the default address form, and made the new one to match, so I'm just down to figuring out how to do the check box.

Ok, so I've downloaded this and another tool off of the site but I'm not getting any results from installing them... no changes whatsoever to any of the screens. What would i be doing wrong to cause this?

Look at the readme and docs associated. After you install there is some work on your part to get things to run. You need to add the fields and the logic fields ( in the docs) to make it work.

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, got distracted with lots of my own issues to solve.

After looking at the docs and playing around a bit, post if you are still having issues and we can see if we can find the problem.
