Default Admin Changes To Sugar Not Saving

We have just recently installed Sugar 5.0.0b Community Edition. We have used previous versions and do not recall this issue. We have attempted to import a number of Leads. We have specified the import fields and all appear to import just fine EXCEPT for Lead Source. For some reason, this data will not import. However, when the same data is populated to the Lead Source Description the import tool will import the data. So, we attempted to alter the Leads Advance Search layout by adding the Lead Source Description field. As the Administrator, I cannot make any changes to any of the settings or the layouts. Is it possible that our server configuration is incorrect or some of the Admin settings are incorrect?

    Hi, musicman.

How are you trying to customize the Advanced Search layout?
    Using Studio?
Does apache user has write access to sugar files?

    Using Studio? YES

Does apache user has write access to sugar files? I'M NOT SURE WHAT YOU MEAN BY THIS. PLEASE EXPLAIN FURTHER.

In the Wiki or install guide is the required file permission for the various directories and files. What is the onwership of the files in the cRM directory and what permission are they set too?

In Linux you needed to change the permission or the web server user cannot access those files. (directories to 775. files to 664)

    Good luck,
    Paris
