Hello,
We are using Sugar CRM and currently adapting it to better serve the purposes of the company. I have the following questions and I would sincerely appreciate the help. Thank everyone in advance.
1. I know how to add certain fields to the mass update function from the administrative pannel. I want to add a field that would mass update the assigned team for all accounts and/or contacts. Could you tell me if I can do this from the Studio or from the administrative pannel, because I have no programming skills whatsoever. If I can, how?
2. We recently imported a large number of contacts into our Sugar CRM database. I want to add a certain amount of them to a target list, so that I can send them an e-mail campaign. Besides searching for the contacts one by one, how can I add an option for sorting the contacts by date in the target list select contact window? This would allow me to simply check the box in front of all contacts I need. Right now, I can only sort them by assigned user, name, etc., but not by date.
3. When importing, I want to be checking for duplicates of the accounts or contacts I am importing to avoid having the same person and/or company several times in the system. I know how to do this from the advanced options of step 3 of the import process. But with the accounts I can check for duplicates according to 3 criteria only -- ID, assigned user, and e-mail. Is there a way, I can check by Account name, or even better parts of the account name?
4. Our accounts and contacts each have multiselect industry and category fields. Unfortunately, we created one of our current industry's system label with a coma in it -- FM, PM. Now, when importing multiple industries for excel, I put ^,^ between each two. Here's where the coma in the system label becomes a problem. We cannot correct the system label (only the display label) and we cannot delete it either, because all of the accounts with this particular industry will have a blank field. Any suggestions on solving the problem so that we can import accounts with this industry?
I want to once again emphasize on the fact that I have no programming skills whatsoever, so please make your response as user friendly as possible. Thank you very much for the assistance and devoted time.
