Advanced search

Hi,

When using advanced search in SugarCRM I am running into the following.
I want to search in the Description area of the Contact. FIrst I couldnt figure out how to search this field, but then II added this field to "advanced search" (through admin/studio/etc).

But when entering a word in the Description search box, Sugar doesn't find anything?

Anubody a clue how to make this work?

Yes, I can confirm that. Added the field to advanced search in leads, searched with %word% - no result. Version is 5.0.0h

Hi Sebas,

try to add % before the word you are searching and it should yield results. Without using the %, the system is searching for all descriptions that start with whatever word you entered.

Sorry - sugarcane is right. Mea culpa.
Problem in my case was that Leads has three description fields and I added the wrong one to the search panel. In Contacts there is just one so you indeed forgot he wildcard(s).
