    Default Advanced Search Cross Module

Bit of an odd one, but I've been asked to make it happen.

Okis, Accounts. New drop down custom field added "Region" (north, south etc.). Nice and easy. Next requirement - add it to the Advanced Search on Acocunts. Also easy.

    Next requirement...
Add it to the advanced search on Opportunities... to retrieve all opportunities in a given region - based on region as it is set against the account.

As far as I can tell, the search in CRM doesn't allow for this cross-module approach. Anyone got any ideas?

    Next requirement...
Search opportunities for sales stage X, Y, Z and not P,Q,R. Again, not a normal behaviour. Sales stage is a drop down and appears as a drop down in the advanced search. Is it at all possible to change this such that each sales stage would be a check box in the search?

Many thanks in advance for any help or pointers.

    Cheers,
    ~G

It works, and if you click away from opportunities and come back, the search is remembered. The tick box, however, does not retain its value.

Any ideas as to how make it correctly populate the search form when the "field" in question isn't actually a field at all, just a flag..?
