Default Advice concerning which system + hardware is best advice for a webserver system

    Hi,

Does anyone have an opinion about this, what would be some sort of min hardware requirement to let sugarCRM run smoothly?
I'm customizing it a bit, and wiping out some stuff that I don't really need. Just noticed that the hardware that I use now, it runs quite slow on (MySQL / PHP / Apache Latest versions with no other db/sites running) a 1 processor 2.4 GHZ and 768 RAM

A bit hard to comment without knowing the user load that's being placed on it, but I would start by increasing the memory.

Secondly, there are performance tweaks to MySQL that can be applied and would help.

Lastly, your IO subsystem. If you are using an IDE drive, I would expect a move up to a RAID 5 configuration with SATA/SCSI drives to work much better for you.
