Default all 'imported' mail folders visible by all users?

hi all, we've just started attempting to roll out the new email module in 5.1.0a, and I noticed something very odd. If a user, with permissions to see only their own emails (i.e role for email set to owner), and then that user goes into their email, selects 'Settings', then 'Folders', they can choose any folders created by any user systemwide. Is this intentional? it seems like a flaw, as we do not want everyone to see everyone else's email, only those pertaining to their records. Is there a way to prevent this behaviour in an upgrade safe manner?

    Thanks in advance.

Within the Settings/Folders tab, my understanding is that each user simply highlights the folders that they want to have visible. Those not highlighted will not show up in their folders list.

I am having the problem that not all my users can see all the folders I have setup to be shared. Two can and two cannot. I have not idea why that is, but I am sure it is button I haven't pushed.

    Thoughts?
