All tabs are running virtically? Help

All my tabs are running as per below.

Can anyone help as to why.
I just upgraded to 5.5 rc1 and get this

5.5rc1 is not a production release!! It will be full of bugs.Can you post an image of this problem.

There are plenty of messages re. this topic. It seems that under certain circumstances the css file isn't interpreted correctly or not read at all. This leads to a pure html output without any formatting information. But Matthew promised to look into that, let's wait and see. After all this is indeed the first release candidate.

It is a release candidate after all so it shouldn't be used for production purposes. Check your permissions and for TESTING set everything to 777, this should get rid of the problem.
