Announcements after login

Dear all,

I'm looking for a way to display system wide announcements after users are logged in into the system. Preferably this is shown as a box like the Unread Emails and Open Tasks. Has anyone done this before? I can't find anything to achieve this in the Admin pages, but it would seem to me such a possibility should be there.

The pro version has scrolling team announcements in the home page - but I believe there's something similar for the OS version - check in the downloads forum or sugarforge.

I've check both area's but cannot find anything related showing announcements or system wide messages. If you know more please write, it would be very appreciated!
