Anyone know how to create an email autoresponder?

I am using 5.0 Pro on a trial basis, got the webtolead form working, now I want to set up an autoresponder to send an email to the person based on the lead source, i.e a hidden value I POST into the Leads module along with email and name. I messed around with the Workflow module in Admin to try and automate this and did not figure it out. Can anyone help? The guys at Sugar says it's possible.

I to am in need of knowing how to setup email autoresponders for inbound users who register on the forms that I have setup on my websites.

I've downloaded some notes from System Admin on Email however it would be great to hear back some specifics from other users.
