    Default Anyone Please Help

I am on installation step 3 and I get this error:
SugarCRM database user name and/or password is invalid

I have verified the username and password of both the database user account and SA user account by logging in through query analyzer, its right. Is there a way to get a more detailed description of whats wrong here, some kind of log or something I can turn on or check?

I've tried selecting the "create database" and "create user" options, but that also fails at step 6 after I verify the info and click next nothing happens the page just refreshes back to step 6

Check your root Sugar install directory (e.g. c:\inetpub\wwwroot\sugar). There should be a file there named sugarcrm.log. That may have some additional info that might help.

    EDIT:
BTW, did you try the Profiler equivalent of SQL2005 to see if you can further troubleshooting info?

I am confused. You mention using the SA login and Query Analyzer, both of which are for MS-SQL, yet your install files appear to be for MySQL.

Which are you trying to install?

Was going to say the same thing.

    SA user= Microsoft SQL server

    Root password/ user=MySQL server

    Two different worlds...

Anyhow - you probably have a security permission issue - you need to set the correct permission to what database server flavor you are using. When that's done the install is pretty much "done". - it's as simple as 1,2,3....
