Apache-Tomcat wont stay open!

Hi - I installed using the stack installer on Vista. It worked fine for 2 days. Then suddenly it stopped - i changed nothing!!

Apache just wont stay open - it shows starting in the cmd window and then shuts immeditately. there is nothing in the error logs. I restarted the machine too.

Only clue is when i typed apache in the bin folder - it indicates a conflict on port 443. I tried to look for a config file to change the port but had no luck finding it.

What should I do? Where should I change the port number? What could have gone wrong when I chnaged nothing?

As luck would have it - i have a demo in 12 hours - so this is an SOS - please help me :| !!

Just to get it working find and stop the IIS process and Tomcat as well so that only Apache is running. Good luck with your demo!

I tried looking in services.msc and the task manager - but nothing looks like iis or tomcat. what should i be looking for - apologize if this is a basic qt.

Do you see an Internet Information Services service running?

I found it - but only AFTER i truied to re-install everything - messing it up even more oh well - i am trying to cobble up something quick using the hosted eval option. Thanks anyway!!!
