    Question Appending data on import?

I want to import a *.csv file I have that has two columns: account name and a custom field we'll call "old notes". I want to use the import wizard to have SugarCRM reference the account name column and append the "old notes" data to each corresponding account.

As it stands now, SugarCRM simply duplicates the account(s), each one containing a separate 'old notes' value. Is there any way to make the import wizard append data instead of overwriting or duplicating the entire account?

    Thanks.

I don't believe it is possible to do that via the Import tool.

You'll need to use a custom script or utility in order to accomplish the task.
