Default Archiving Workflow generated alert message as a History Note

    Using Sugar Pro 4.5.0h

When an alert e-mail is sent out to a contact using a custom template, the resulting message appears NOT to be saved as History Note for that contact. Are you required to explicitly define some "Action" or quality of the "alert" to make this happen?

Workflow - If a new contact is added, send a welcome e-mail to the contact with web links. Also cc the assigned sales person

Desired -- The welcome e-mail sent to the contact by the Workflow should be visible as a History Note for the contact

Thanks in advance for any clues.

Default Re: Archiving Workflow generated alert message as a History Note

Did you ever figure this out? I have a similar need. Contacts get a welcome email and password sent by a workflow when a field changes. No email in the history makes everyone question whether the welcome mail was sent or not...

In general I'd like all workflow alerts in the contact/lead history...
