Asset Tracking ?

We have been using SugarCRM and have been very pleased. We are in need of asset tracking software to manage the movement of computers and other equipment. We are running 4.2.0 and it doesn't look like there is anything like it in our system.

We would want to track the details of the asset ... what customer it is associated with ... monitor the history of where it has been ... track it's location, etc.

Does anybody know if an asset tracking module exists for sugar ?

Hi whitefor, maybe the Products module can be used for this. An Account can have many Products (Assets). Though there's no history tracking of how the Product (Asset) reached its current state, a custom subpanel underneath Product DetailView could provide this tracking info.

Thanks for the suggestion. I don't see Products though as an option. We are running Open Source version 4.2.0. I see the following attached to Account ...

Opportunities
Leads
Cases
Member Organizations
Bugs
Projects

... no products.

I will try searching through to see if I need new version or Professional versions.

Have you tried looking at the resource module from Ryhuei Uchida in Sugar Exchange. Maybe that is what you are looking for?
