    Question Assign an account to multiple users

    Hello,

    I have a question about SUGAR CRM 5.1 customization.
    Is it possible - by a parameter or specific dev - to assign an account to multiple users ("assigned to" field) ?
    We have several account managers for the same account.

    If it's possible, how ?

    Hi florentb5

    You can create a relationship Many to Many between Accounts and Users.
    It will define a subpanel of Users under Accounts which can implements this needs.
    But if you want to be displayed into "My Accounts Dashlet" the Accounts Users (assigned user + Subpanel Users) you will need to modify the Dashlet itself.

    I'm new to Sugar and have the same question referring to multiple users to an account.

    We're using the Community version.

    Exactly how do you add the functionality.

    I went to Studio > Leads > and don't know what to do next.

    As a work-around, assign the contacts and leads to a group user and your users to the group . . . .

    If I assign users to the group, aren't they prevented from logging into the web interface, as stated on the User's edit page?
    "Act as a group user. This user cannot login through the Sugar web interface. This user is only used for assigning items to a group via Inbound Email functionality."

    How would they access the system?

    Is it possible to assign multiple users to accounts with SugarCRM 5.x CE? I have tried to create a relationship Many to Many between Accounts and Users, but in Studio the Users module not exists.

    Depending on what you're trying to accomplish a teams module may do what you need. There are a couple on SugarForge.

    Depends on what you need. If you can accomplish what you need by only assigning one team per record use CE Teams. It's also upgrade safe. Otherwise, use SecuritySuite which is not upgrade safe meaning that when you need to upgrade Sugar you need to upgrade that module as well.
