    Default Assigned Leads not showing

    Ok I admit it, I'm a newbie and it's probably my fault.

    I installed Sugarcrm 5.2.0a and entered 2 leads, one as an import and the other as a quick create. Using the (last accessed) links at the top of the page I assigned them to myself.

    Now when I click on the Leads tab I would expect them to be visible under "Lead List", but they are not. If I search for them the search cannot find them (btw I am also an admin user and "Only my Items" is not ticked).

    One of the two leads has been assigned to a "lead List" but the other has not. The only way I can access either lead is via the "Last Viewed" menu.

    What am I doing wrong?

    ps I've just upgraded to 5.2.0c and it still does the same.

    hello,

    check the following:
    -go to admin-->System Settings. Look at the 'Listview Items per page'. The default number is usually 20.
    -did you try to click the Clear button in the search?
    -are you able to view the leads in your homepage dashlet?

    Thanks Sugarcane, "Items per page" is 20, tried clear followed by search - nothing. Leads do not appear in the home view or the dashlets. If I pull them up using the "Last Viewed" links they show as being assigned to me.

    Ok, I believe I have found the problem.

    When I downloaded and installed Sugar, I added some fields that we needed captured and put them on the form. Then I entered some data.

    What I seem to need to do is :

    Download and install Sugar, Enter at least one piece of data into any section where I wish to add fields. Then add the fields.

    In my case to fix I had to remove all added fields, (all records suddenly became visible). Add a record, and then re-add my custom fields. All further records I added were now visible.

    I tested this out on Contacts and found the same applied there as well (data before adding fields).
