assigned user field

Hi,
This may be a simple question, but I'm not coming across the solution.
I'm wondering how to change the list of users in assigned to field in the search area from there username to there full name , any ideas would be appreciated
I'm using sugarcrm 5.2.0d, if I'm leaving out any info or you need me to clarify anything please ask.

You need to copy the file modules/<ModuleName>/metadata/searchdefs.php into the custom/modules/<ModuleName>/metadata/searchdefs.php.
In the advanced array you need to modify the assigned_user_name to invoke another function (you need to create it) and specify the file to include in order to get this function available.
The function referred on searchdefs.php is into include/utils.php, so you need to copy this one into a new script, to be created, and modify the enough to get it working according to your needs.
