assigning leads etc to an employee?

Hi,

I am having trouble assigning a new lead or contact etc to an employee. What happens is that when I click the arrow to select someone to assign it to the list pops up but I am the only one on it?

When I go back into the employees list everyone is there?

Any help appreciated.

I hope I explained it properly? I'm new to sugar so probably missed something small.

Am I suppose to create a role or something before a user can be assigned to something?

Is it possible that the users in your system have different roles with different access rights?
Please check the users and roles definition in admin section. If a user has a role which is not allowed to see leads you cannot assign leads to such a user.

You can link leads or contacts to users creaion a relationshop bethween them. It is possible to do by studio.

Ahh... just worked it out. When I created an employee I needed to also go into the User management section and give them a username!

I can now allocated a lead to the employee.
