associating emails with opportunities

Can anyone tell me if there is an easy way to associate an email sent from the webmail client in Sugar to an Opportunity? II can see that sent emails automatically show up in the history for the contact that i send it to, but it would be really useful to see all the correspondence back and forth from the Opportunity record. i.e. I would like it so if I email a contact that is associated with a particular opportunity then I will see it in the history for that opportunity.I just want to see a history of all correspondence with an opportunity to get the full story of where the opportunity stands..without having to drill down into multiple contacts and view their individual histories. any ideas?

We are using the latest community edition.

in emails, click on the email you wish to associate with the opportunity

On the bottom bar locate the button "Import to Sugar" and click on this

In the window that appears, select "Opportunity" from the Relate to dropdown and then select the Opportunity that you wish to associate the email with.

Click Import to Sugar

What if you start the email from the activities subpanel beneath the opportunity? This will give you in the top right corner of the creation window a pre-filled relate to Opportunity xy

Thanks for the great suggestions! Unfortunately, "Import to SugarCRM" does not appear for Sent Items when the email message is in my local My Email / My Sent Email folder on Sugar. However, If I sync my Sent Items folder from my IMAP account i can right-click the message from that Sent Items folder and import to Sugar. But that is painfully slow because I have 5000 emails in my Sent Items and Sugar wants to re-download them every time I click on the folder.

I like the idea of composing messages from the Activities panel of the Opportunity but what about when I am replying to a message?

Perhaps the answer is to figure out a way to make IMAP performance for Sent Items more bearable and just always import them from there.

Incidentally, what is the best Outlook Email plugin for community edition that might allow me to associate them from Outlook?
