Attaching documents to emails?

I would like to attach documents to Opportunities. Whether I place them in a Note, a Project or a Contract within an Opportunity I do not care. But how are people attaching those documents to emails??

The only way I can do it is to download the document to my local system, and then upload it to the email. Am I missing something obvious here?

in emails module u need to click sidebar @ right hand side->attach tab->from sugar document->select ur document

1. Documents stored in an Opportunity - Note does not appear in Documents.

2. Documents stored in an Opportunity - Project - Note does not appear in Documents.

3. Documents stored in Contracts - Documents does appear in Documents.


Using 1 or 2 I do not see a way to attach those documents to an email efficiently. Using 3 the documents are visible by the Attach window but I can not search or filter by Opportunity. Therefore how to I find an "Executive Summary.doc" if there are 1000 of them?

Am I missing something? I'm simply trying to attach documents which are saved to an Opportunity.
