Attaching a file to a custom module

Hi Guys,

I have created a custom module and i would like to either have the history subpanel avalible or have the ability to upload and attch a file (pdf) to the records in the module.

I have searched all over but can not work out how to get the history panel showing OR how to added the correct feild into the module....

Any ideas?

Hi, Jonny.

About the file attached to the record, take a look at the Notes module.
It can show you how to create a file field.

About the History Subpanel you can take a look at any modules which has Activities and Subpanels, like Accounts.
Basically you have to create fields of type link for all Activity modules (Calls, Emails, Meetings, Tasks, Notes), one relationship for each field and entries into subpaneldefs.php

I will take a look at the notes thing...

I edited subpaneldefs.php to add history to it but it never appeared in the module...
