Exclamation auto associating emails with a custom module

    Hi,

have been having a little trouble with custom modules, in sugarCRM 5.1RC.

    on a clean install.

i created a new module, will call it "sub account"* for simplicity, this was made as type "company". this sub account module has a many to many relationship with contacts, and a one to many relationship with cases and activities.

this was then deployed, and then in studio, a one to many relationship between "accounts" and "sub account" created.

created an account "ACME Group", and then created a sub account "ACME Shoes Despatching Service". entered a valid email address for this, and sent an email to it from sugar email.

nothing shows up in the history on ACME Shoes Despatching Service.

if i add the same email address to ACME Group, this shows up fine as normal.

any help or pointers, much appreciated.

    * i know its possible to group accounts under other accounts, but this "sub account" module, will be heavily customized eventually

i also tested this for inbound emails as well in case it was just a sending and association problem, but the same.

anyone got any pointers on this?

is it something that should be possible?

i'd like to get moving onwards with a sugar deployment, but until I can resolve this have reached a stumbling block.
