We are running Sugar 4.0.1c. We have a need to auto send an email once a case is created. Currently we create a case and it prompts us to reply to the user and manually send back an email. The CASE# is in the subject and we can start a dialog with the user.
We want to automtically send an email when a case is created to the user with the CASE# in the subject and generic line saying "your case has been created. you case numer is: ###. Please respond to this case with any further info or updates".
I am trying to track down the CASE email template and then i figure i'll have to code around the manual prompt for a response from to a user and just have a canned version of the email sent off.
Has anyone done something like this? The workflow will not work for us because the workflow emails don't get tied/related to the case itself.
