    Default Autofilling information

I hope someone can help me on this...

i need to autofill several fields when creaing something in the sub panel create...

to be more specific i have a series of 3 modules. I create something in the first and then through the sub panel ceation i want to be able to copy all of that information in to the socond module (and have more ileds added of course) and so on...

also i noticed that one can create for exaple notes in the history subpanel directly in the detail view of another module without taking the user away from the detail view.... how do i replicate this????

i really doubt i will get help here but at least i can hope rigt?

    Default Re: Autofilling information

You'd use a logic hook for this.

That would allow you to catch the before_save or after_save event and access beans to create the other data items you wish.

But if you're replicating data all over the place, it is indicative of a poor design.
