Automatic History

Hi,

In Project task, if i complete and activity and change the status to completed is there any way to automaticaly find the work history ( the history of the task i have completed) in History subheading?

Now after the completion of the task Iam entering it to history list? If u can find a solution, i will be grateful

This behavior is because Task is not defined into SubPanel History of ProjectTask.

You can create a extended layoutdefs adding Tasks to the collection list of the SubPanel History.

actually iam entering the project heading, then creates a task under the Project task heading.....

Whts the new method u ask me to proceed with??

If you take a look at the modules/ProjectTask/metadata/subpaneldefs.php

You will see that in the Activities Subpanel there are some entries into collection_list, including the Tasks.
But in the History Subpanel the Task module is not available.
For this reason, after closing a task it disappear from layout: Activities looks for open Tasks and History ignore tasks.
So you have to create an extended layoutdefs including the Tasks inside the collection_list of History.

That is it.
