    Unhappy Automatic notifications not working

    Hi All,

    I am having problems with at least 2 of our systems Community Edition. Both are 5.2.0j, one is installed on a Linux box through the install.php setup routine and not directly reachable over internet, the other runs on a Windows 2008 SBS installed through Stack Installer and is directly connected to the internet, so 2 quite different setups.

    Both have valid Email configuration, this I can verify by sending out invites for calls, meetings, etc. However, the automatic notification for (re-)assignment is not working, for any of the modules (leads, opportunities, contacts, accounts, etc.).

    Can anyone confirm this or confirm that notifications are working in 5.2.0j?

    Logfile does not say anything regarding mail (tried debug level), which is quite strange, it looks like the system is not even trying to send those mails.

    Where can I look to find the cause of this problem?

    Any help is welcome!

    Have you set the notifications to on in each users' profile?

    Admin>User Management>Notify on Assignment

    Hi salesagility,

    Yes, both the notification in email settings as well as all user profiles is set, obviously also every user profile has it's correct email adress as primary. As I said, it's quite strange because the invitations for e.g. calls are sent (allthough curiously enough always double) but the notifications are not, and as I was searching the log in debug level, the system didn't even seem to try.

    OK, just a quick FYI: I was able to resolve this issue, results that the MX entry of the DNS was wrong, everything works now as it should!
