Autopopulate Parent Name

Hi,

i've created 2 custom modules (let's call them MOD1 and MOD2, with a relation 1-N betwen them).

When I use the quick creation form in the MOD2 subpanel inside a MOD1 record, MOD1 name is not automatically populated.

Is there something special to do to have this field automatically filled ?

Can you let us know from which template did you create MOD1 and MOD2 (Basic, Person, Company etc)?

Hi André,

I used Basic template.

What I don't understand is that it's working for 2 others modules... which seems to be created the same way.

I've found a solution : If I don't show the Parent Name field the new record is related to in the quick form, the new record is correctly linked with the Parent module.
But I don't like to have different behaviors when I expect the same. I hope it's not hiding a bigger problem.
