Backing Up 5.5. issue

When I Select Admin / Backups - I enter the correct path and a filename and am allowed to proceed - but all I then get is a white screen in the center of Sugar - no processing bar telling what is happening - I still see the top and left nav bars - it never used to do this in 5.2 - anyone any idea what is wrong - if I just leave it alone for a period and then check the backup folder on the site a backup has been taken, but it is very frustrating not known or being told when the backup has finished - can anyone help - Thanks Paul

Check the server for the backup files ... have they been created?

Hi - Yes a backup is created but always 12.66MB and I am not sure it is really backing up - do you know of any backup utilities (external) than work well as I have read a number of threads that advise about not using Sugars Backup utility? Thanks

Depends on your environment .... what operating system and database are you using?
