    Default Backup cuestion

First, you pardon for my level of ingles.

I'm actually using Apache and MySQL. They were both installed with Sugar using the bitrock installer.
    Windows XP
    Version 4.5.0h (Build 1239)

I want to know if I make the backup well,
    steps:
    - I disconnect sugar (with the icon "Stop SugarCRM on BitRock WAMPStack")
    - I make copy of the folder "sugarcrm" that this located in "C:\program file\sugarcrm-4.5.0c\mysql\data\sugarcrm"

I have tested to install the SUGARCRM in a new computer, and I have stuck the file of this folder in new sugar, and has gone all good, I have all my data base in the new computer.

    it asks:
1- Must i make copy of another folder?
2- There is another form to make the backup?

    thank you

    Bye

    Hi,

You have copied the Sugar files in what you describe, but you also need to backup the database as well. Use Backup tool from MySQL directly. Alternatively use the backup tool myPhpBackupPro or myPhpAdmin which you have to install in your Apache htdocs directory

    Hope this helps
    Cheers Malcolm

Regarding malcomh suggestion, since you are using BitRock Installer, phpMyAdmin is already installed, just access:

    http://127.0.0.1/phpmyadmin

    Cheers

Just to add my pennies worth,

If you have copied the content of the mysql directory - that's it for data, Mysql stores it's data in files with the extension MYD MYI frm

I you have customised sugar - then you may want to use the sugar backup facility found under admin to do a backup of the sugar app.

    thanks

    Sharif

    Hi,

These password values are requested when you install Sugar via Bitrock. If you cannot remember the password, then I can't really help further

I have a simular problem, i wrote down every password i filled in during the installation (Bitrock intstaller, 4.5.0.h) but i still can't login to phpmyadmin. I get the login window 3 times and afhter it display the error message authorization required.

In the documents i've made during the installation i see that they only asked for a password for phpmyadmin NOT a username.

    Can someone plz help me

    Hi,

Try "administrator" as the user name, this is the default for phpmyaadmin running on Bitrock.
