Hi,
I'm completely new to SugarCRM and have been studying what I can of the doc.s. I've installed Sugar Open Source 4.5.1e (Build 1049) and have been working with it. I also have been doing a number of SOAP exerciese using PHP, and I'm getting familiar with how that all works. (I'm going to submit a separate question about 4.5.1e versus Beta version 5.)
I have a very basic question. I am developing a system to allow members of the public to submit one or more research questions to our institution. I plan to create web forms to create the proper entities in SugarCRM. We would like to have a many-to-one relationship between research requests (I think that would be a Case) and the requester (I think the requester would be an Account).
I am thinking that the natural Sugar way to do this would be to create an Account for each person doing a request, and adding a Case for each research request. Can you "attach" a Case to an Account?
Being such a newbie to SugarCRM, I know I may be way off. Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks!
