I understand that SugarCRM's table structure differences between Tasks and Emails...
Tasks (and Calls) have a field for Contact, Parent_type and Parent_id.... essentially a Task can be joined to ONE Contact and ONE parent.
Emails have a DB structure that supports many-to-many joins.
So, I'm wondering what is the best practice for "seeing" ALL activity/history under an Account?
A "birds eye view" of the activity that has occurred within that Account... including Calls/Tasks associated to Contacts owned by the Account.
I know that I can drill down into individual Contacts and see the Activity... but is there a way to see everything without drill down?
Anyone have any suggestions for a workaround?
thanks,
John
