Best Reporting tool for Sugarcrm

Can any one give their valuable suggestions for the reporting module which best suits for the community version of the latest sugarcrm.

I just want to add my remark to this discussion (Choosing a reporting tool really depends on your skill and your needs).
Like JasperSoft, we have worked for a while on it, and I suggest you to try Ariacom Business Reports Turn Key Package for sugarCRM .

This package contains more than 100 reports ready to use to perform search and analysis on the different sugarCRM entities:
Accounts, Campaigns, Leads, Opportunities, Bugs, Cases and Activities.

OK ... FWIW .... I have no idea if your software is good or not .... but I do know that giving something away for free in order to be able to charge for it later is a well worn path practiced by many proprietary software vendors (including SugarCRM .... although in their case they have given something very much more substantial than a few reports).

iReports is open source software ... download it and use it ... no charge no vendor lock. ZuckerReports in open source ... no charge no vendor lock.

iReports is probably excellent, but it might be interesting to have alternative solutions depending on your needs , requirements and skills...
Ariacom Business Reports is not an open source software but the cost of the first version (€189) is very reasonable in comparison to Sugar Professional ($1800/year for 5 users).
Choosing open source or commercial software may be also a political choice in a company.

Sorry but when that kind of remark, which shows a lack of knowledge about open source is made and is usually made by people with whose commercial structure is not predicated on the open source ecosystem, it is annoying. Choosing Open Source is many things but political is one of the last reasons that I would think to deploy. There is one overwhelming reason to choose Open Source and that is:

1. FREEDOM - To modify and use when and as you see fit, freedom to choose a software development partner, freedom to choose a hosting partner, freedom from vendor pressure, vendor upgrade cycles, vendor licences, vendor costs .... and .... hopefully .... freedom to contribute enhancements back to the community.

There is nothing political about it. It's all benefits, benefits, benefits.

I agree with your arguments...if you have a developer profile and you have the skill and the time to be able to modify a complex framework that may be difficult to understand (e.g. I wonder if you will not be afraid to modify MySQL source code to get what you want...)
But most of people do not want to fight with technology, they just want a software simple to install and that works without modification, I they can save days of work, it just saves money...

Concerning political, I have worked for several customers where the IT says:
- we just want OPEN Source software
- we just want Microsoft or Oracle Product
so if this is not politics !
Open Source is great ...but we have to remain pragmatic.
