Bitrock Windows Installer IMAP error

Clean install of Windows XP Pro SP2 on AMD 3000+ system.

Install Bitrock Windows Installer

Goto Admin > Inbound Email

Error Message: This system does not have the IMAP c-client libraries enabled/compiled into the PHP module

Also...

Goto Admin > Scheduler

Error Message: This system does not have the cURL c-client libraries enabled/compiled into the PHP module
(or something similar to this error message)

Checked php.ini

the ; is not in front of the extensions

and the phpinfo.php is pointing to the correct directory for the extensions

On another note:

If I use the Spikesource Windows Installer, these errors are not there, but after an update to 4.2.1a the following error appears:
Sugar CRM 4.2.1 Files May Only Be Used With A Sugar CRM 4.2.1 Database.

I probably shouldn't complain about Open Source software, but it's frustrating when I am deciding on whether or not to purchase the SugarNetwork package.

Fixed my problem. So everybody can relax now.

From memory....

If you open the php.ini file, the location that points to the imap extensions was something like @BITROCK INSTALLER...@, so I
just changed that to the actual location to C:\......., and the error went away after shutting down the apache server and restarting it.

same trouble over here. But I can't find the "location that points to the imap extensions" in the php.ini.

Can you specify where exactly that is?

just do a text search for the word IMAP or @BITROCK

I have since stopped testing SugarCRM. Waiting to see what the new outlook plugin has to offer and what ver 4.5 has to offer.

I was this close to purchasing the SugarNetwork for the outlook plugin, but it was slightly buggy in areas where we needed it not to be.

Set extension_dir in php.ini to C:\Program Files\sugarcrm-4.2.1a\php\extensions if you used defalut values at installation. We will fix this problem on next release.
