Bitrock Windows Installer problem

Hi,

Trying to install by bitrock on Windows 2K Server (running in Virtual PC) fresh install with IIS 5 and some utilities

When I run the bitrock installer it clocks for a few seconds, then displays the Sugar logo for about 10 seconds, then goes away. Nothing seems to be installed. No new directories created. No Dialogs appear.

Same process works fine for Windows 2K Pro on virtual PC and completes install.

What am I doing wrong?

Also, what is the timeframe for a Bitrock for Sugar 4.5?

I'm having the same symptoms, but on a non-Virtual PC version of Windows 2000 Pro.

Logged in as a local administrator, the Bitrock installer starts, displays the Sugar logo briefly, then exits with no errors. There's nothing recorded in the event logs to indicate any problems.

This is a plain, brand new install of Windows 2000 Professional, with all current Microsoft patches installed but nothing else added.

Any suggestions for this? It's very odd to see no error messages, just... poof, the installer closes without doing anything.

It is 25th November and this has just happened to me. Fresh Win2k Install. Flash screen, nothing more. Do you think we are going to get an answer?? Or should I try a different approach??

Ok, here should be the soultion (it worked for me). It seems the msvcp60.dll is missing from 2000. I wasn't able to find an install package from MS (its a Visual c++ file) so I just copied it from a XP machine into the c:\windows\system32 folder.
