Bizarre problem creating email template

Why is it, when I try to create an email template (for Campaign emails) and I insert a picture, does it edit the domain of the URL.

As an example, if I insert an image with the following URL

http://www.ganedatascan.com/Pages/title4.gif

It changes it to http://www.gane.com/Pages/title4.gif

It removes ganedata from the URL!?!?

Also, I'm sure this has been mentioned before but how do I remove the opt out message at the bottom. As when creating the campaign, I left the tracker options blank but it still appears in the sent message.

Any help on this would be gratefully appreciated.

Hi Darren,

this is a very strange issue indeed. The words 'datascan' are removed from the image URL. I never had any issues with the URLs of images, and i also testing this with other items, and no problems. I suspect that for whatever reason, it does not like 'datascan'. A workaround for the time being is to save your image on a URL that does not contain the words 'datascan'.

You cannot remove this message. By law, you must have an opt out link (recipients must be able to opt of from campaign messages they deem as spam). So you can either designate your own opt out tracker, or if not, then this is auto added.

We have 2 domains and when I insert images that are located on the other domain, the images appear as they should. Its just it doesn't like images stored on our www.ganedatascan.com website.

Just so you know, this problem only occurs in the campaign email section. If I compose an email from the email tab, the links work perfectly. Its just through the campaign email section it fails.

You mentioned that the optout link is enforced even if we don't want it. Thats fine, so apart from creating our own opt-out link, how do I edit the default one? As it is trying to access our internal server.

i have the same problem with other url, with the word "data" in the middle.

I think the problem is in the "data" word.

I use sugar 5.0.0g (Build 3391)

Yes it is definitely a problem with the word data. One of my customers had exactly the same issue. No fix. BTW as mentioned somewhere else: plus signs (+) aren't shown either.

In order not to show the opt out link create one under tracker url but do not insert it. This elimiinates the standard one.
