Default Blank page when configuring inbound email at Hosting provider

I have been running SugarCRM on my own server on a T1 line, however I wanted to get on a faster connection and a faster server so I set up with Hostnine. Its fast, but I get a blank page when I try to set up inbound email. They have PHP 4.4.4 with IMAP module loaded. What could be the problem?

    Elgert:

As crazy as it may sound - I was actually excited to finally see someone that has been having the same issue with SugarCRM as I've been. In fact, I've installed and reinstalled Sugar over a dozen times on different hosting accounts trying to figure out why this keeps happening. I'm assuming that when you try and setup an incoming mailbox and hit the SAVE button your screen goes blank and dies. If that's the case, are you noticing any other issues like perhaps when you first log into SugarCRM do you not see the dashlets? These could be totally unrelated problems but I have a clue hey may be one in the same.

If you were able to find the problem, please let me know. I'm also working on figuring this out myself with a new hosting company that I purchased a new server from. I will let you know if I get it figured out as well.

Thanks in advance for your response...

My ISP has been working on it with me for much of the week, but no positive results. They said it was because I had my mail server somewhere else, but I have another site I set up for someone that is completed hosted by them and the same thing happens there.

Question Re: Blank page when configuring inbound email at Hosting provider

    Hello,

I have exactly the same problem and trying to figure it out - without success so far. Did you have any success to find a solution?

    Here is my configuration:

    Sugar 4.5.1d on

    Suse 9.3 running Plesk 8.1.1
    PHP 5.0.3-14.4
    mysql 4.1.10a-3.8

As described above, I do not see anydashlets nor the add dashlet button (note: I unchecked the button for preventing the user to add dashlets) and I have the same issue with the inbound email (white page and settings not saved, although test successful)

Any help would be much appreciated.

    regards,
    Ioannis

My ISP worked on it for two weeks and made many adjustments but could not resolve the issue so I went back to hosting the site myself and upgraded my web server to a new Core Duo machine and have been very happy with that. However, I also had another client hosted on Bluehost and was able to get SugarCRM to work there without any problem at all and have since moved many clients to Bluehost in order to run SugarCRM. I still prefer my own server so I can run Tomcat and other tools to run even more complicated websites, but if you need an ISP to host Sugar, go with Bluehost.

    Hi,

Same problem for me. Since a few days I try to make it work !
The problem only appear when I put a pop server like pop.fr.oleane.com
and the user name is like : name@domain.fr.fto

I have first install SugarCRM on a local dev server running PHP 5 and this configuration works.
But when I have install it on our production server, under PHP 4.4.4-8+etch2+pdf, and I clic the "test parameters" button, I have a blank popup waiting for something.... and when I'm trying to save the configuration, the page waiting ... waiting... waiting a few minutes and at the end of the execution script delay I have a blank page.

It's very annoying... maybe the function who's checking the server doesn't support the adresses composed with more than 2 points ?

Thanks a lot Sugar Team and anyone for your help.

    ps :
Using SugarCRM Version 4.5.1d (Build 1273)
    PHP 4.4.4-8+etch2+pdf
    MySQL 4.1.11 on a Debian_4sarge7
